There are several ways in which you can use the map (see below). Basically you can either (1) look through specific institutional categories, (2) scroll through the map sections (from A-E) or (3) look for named institutions (companies) in the A-Z index. You can also locate other helpful sites or locations - eg cop shops, police check points, tube abd british rail stations and a list of buses running into/ out of the City.

Alternatively, if you know the type of institution you are after, you can search through the list of institutions according to the following break-down and then find them on their respective section of the map:
2. SECTIONED MAP
Below is the detailed map of the Square Mile. Click on one of the Sections (the map is divided into 5 - A, B, C, D, E - Sections) to see a more detailed and larger version of that section area. Once you have selected the section you wish to look at you can scroll (click) to the next section along, above and below. You can also click on any of the symbols/ map references to find out what it represents (eg the company name and specific address). Each section also carries a key in order to help interpret the map.
The nature of the City means that the map will be out of date fairly quickly and there are of course companies that you may not find on the map that you know are there - the listed companies are over 100 of the best known City institutions - they are not a definitive list of the biggest, baddest, blaggard companies ... mearly a guide to some of them. They represent the various types of institutions from the best known law firms to the best known merchant banks.

Fairly straightforward - a very long list of companies/ institutions with the map location, company name and address as well as a link to the relevant section of the map itself and a grid reference to help you locate it.
Please bear in mind that you may have to look around to find the specific symbol with the correct number.
